Snowman

I made the snowflakes in Ultrafractal, pasted them in the sky and airbrushed around the edges using the inkdipper to make sure the airbrush was set to the same colour of the sky. The fact that I can use fractals I have made and blend them into illustrations is fantastic.
I haven't been to the beach for weeks and I have a chance to go and see a guitar course next weekend. Please do not let me wimp out.

Cloud.

I have had an idea for a story about clouds. This was done with the wash in digital watercolours and it seems if you set wax crayons to the colour white it picks up whatever colour is underneath it, hence the purple lines.

I'm adding this piece of music purely because I really like it. It's called Canto de Ossanha, written by Baden Powell and Vinicius de Moraes and played by Tony Roubleclef.

Escaping the Net

Done with Corel Painter2 and a Wacom tablet.

Her mother said her hair looked like a bird's nest.

Well, that's kind of weird. I didn't draw in that squiggly line above her shoulder. In fact there seem to be a few spidery lines that I didn't draw in. I wonder what is causing that? I've discovered you can use a "water colour" brush as a pencil if you set its size to 4 on a 500 pixel wide image.

Grey and dreary here today. Arthur, the dog, is shivering so it must be going to thunder or someone let off a firework.

Why did the dog picture upload above the redhead?

Hoody.

Wacom tablet, Corel Painter 2 where I changed it into a "woodcut". Fiddled around with it in Photoshop and Paintshop Pro. I would have made a real mess of my drawing table if I had done this with pen and inks. Now I'm starting to think I would like to write and illustrate a book for children.
The tourists have left. My guitar playing is getting worse. It's half past four, I'd better eat lunch.

November already.

Well, this quick sketch has given me an idea for doing a Bonfire night illustration. Guitar class this afternoon but I've been away a week so not practised much . Used the "palette knives" for the streamers.
