It's a matter of size.

It's very different here this summer. Everybody now has an air conditioner and instead of the usual deafening chorus of paella parties it is unearthly silent outside.

Personally, I find it easier to draw speech bubbles by hand but I don't actually use speech bubbles a lot.
Drawing at 5oo pixels is what I am comfortable with so I guess I'll make each Maureen panel 500 square and make it a six panel strip.
