Face of an Angel

Well, I had a lot of fun at the beach this morning. I cycled to the market in the next village and finally gave in and bought a singing bird toy and I was just about to head off when I noticed there were also singing angel toys. I thought....great! I'll take them home and make a video of them. But I couldn't wait. I got halfway along the road by the beach and thought...hmmm.. a seaside video of an angel on a day off.
First guitar class the other day. It's going to be a good year. Here's the link.

Put your jersey on; it's Autumn

The wind is howling across the sea and sand. I tried cycling along the shore, stopped to watch the mini water spouts swirling upwards and mostly pushed the bike home because it was too difficult to keep on the bike.
First guitar class tomorrow. I wish I could be totally relaxed but it's like sitting a driving test. But I wouldn't change it for the world.
Driving myself insane trying to make an animation in Corel.
But anyway, here's a link to a little photographic video I made of the Lake District in England. The music is by Ken Graves. Look him up on AcidPlanet if you like.

Orchid

500 pixels is too small to see the skull in the middle of the orchid. It's given me an idea to try and paint on a face over a photo of a skull that I saw in a museum exhibit.
Stormy skies today.
I went to the community centre to sign up for guitar classes. The teacher apologised for being late and not having the right form. I am really looking foward to it. Like me, he's interested in learning about flamenco this year so we are going to mix classic and flamenco. I have put new strings on both guitars.

The Cheese Master

Summer has ended. The tourists have nearly all gone. The schools are about to start....I think? Signing up for guitar class again today which will involve sitting in a room in the local community centre where a bunch of teachers will apologise for being late, apologise for nobody turning up, lose the forms that are supposed to be signed with exactly the same name, address and residence number that I produce every year. This will be my fourth year of trying to learn the guitar. Sometimes I video myself to see where I go wrong...which is a lot. In fact, it is quite horrifying to see oneself unless of course you are a Maria Linnemann. So, if you like being horrified here's a link....ha, ha.

P.S. I bought the crab in the local Chinese shop. It's a treasure trove.

Demon Dragonfly, ha, ha.

Yes, well, no excuse really...just playing around with two photos I took. One of a dragonfly and the other a bronze age skull...at least I think it was bronze age or maybe iron age, anyway it's in the museum in Tarragona. The skull is on a second layer and set at about 58 transparency. I painted in the eyes and teeth. The more I look at it the creepier it gets.
The first bike ride of the summer without a million tourists to watch out for. Still not smoking. Woo Hoo, that's since April.

red poppy, yellow poppy

That's actually a photo of a red poppy outside. It's still boiling but the change is still in the air. The tourists are drifting off back to the big cities and across the sea. I always think this time of year is slightly magical.
